She is quite the tease, that Sarah.
Please note: I did not wink back, though I did wonder why Joe Biden didn’t wink at me too when he had the opportunity. Oh well, Joe didn’t stand a chance. Sarah had me at “heckava,” or was it at “goshdarnit,” or maybe it was at “ooh boy you betcha.” No, I know when it was. . . it was the twentieth time she said, “maverick.” That’s when she really had me. Nah, I’ve changed my mind. She really, really had me when she said “nucular.” And I just loved it every time she said “energy.” I counted up to 24 beautiful utterances of that word. And did you know Alaska is an oil-producing state? I am so glad Sarah mentioned that over and over again. Every time she said it, I added (though quietly in a whisper), “Drill, Baby, drill!”

She totally kicked Biden’s sorry old butt, dude. And I know this because I didn’t watch a second of the debate. Well, since this is all about choosing a president, it really doesn’t matter who said what or did what last night. I’ve made my choice, finally. I’m voting for myself.
Gosh.

I’m sorry … but if the best thing that anyone can say about her in last night’s debate is, “She didn’t blow it,” well then … I want something better in a VP. Since that’s what they also said about JM last week, I also want something better in a president.
Here’s a review of the debate that should be widely read: http://www.moderateindependent.com/v6iOCT32008BidenPalin.htm

LMAO, I love the post sarcasm is sorely needed…BUT the truth is there is only one candidate of the four that would be real change… Sarah Palin is different, she is NOT a DC crony…
Personally I am voting for Change on a McCain Palin ticket, not for McCain, but in the event that we MIGHT have a female President prior to 2012, and if it takes to 2012 to get one I would vote for Palin rather than Clinton. HAD Clinton won the Democratic nod I might be more inclined to vote for Her this election, but Obama/Biden is NOT what America needs now… We have made a hard left turn since 2006 and look where we are? We need a more balanced congress. Obama, Biden and Pelosi would mean WAY too much liberalism.

Dude, are you serious? Did you see Biden’s eye last night? It’s like some of Palin’s awesomeness got caught in his eye and he was trying to blink it out all night. Oh, and Obama/Biden that whole change thing, yeah I’m all for it. But you might want to work on changing up the old vocabulary. I mean 21 times Joe? Really? Was that necessary?

For me, I fell more in love with Sarah Palin last night. But there was one moment where she disappointed me. I wish she could have felt confident enough to deviate from her script and notes to extend some compassion for Biden when he spoke of a tragedy he lived through. I wish she had acknowledged Biden’s hurt. It would have taken 10 seconds, and then she could have gone on with what she said. So, I really missed that. But otherwise, I thought she spoke well, and there is nothing wrong with winks, k? I didn’t even see her winking, so you must have really been looking for it, Will.

I didn’t see the debate but it seems to be a tie because dems are saying Biden nailed it and Republicans are saying Palin won. But, you know what, I don’t care one way or the other because I’m not voting for who can win a debate. I’m voting for who I think can lead this country the best.

This is what I was worried about. The expectations for Palin were SO low that a coherent sentence would earn her the “win.” Biden rode circles around her on the issues, while she did nothing but try and veer every question back to energy (which Biden won on, by the way). She’s a machine for the Republicans and every word she said was rehearsed, canned, and spewed. Being cutesy won’t work this election, and contrary to what she wants us to believe, the last 8 years have mattered A LOT

OK, I’m gonna admit that I haven’t watched the whole thing–yet. I had to be up early this AM, and only got through the 1st few minutes, 10 or so, before having to go to bed. But I taped it and intend to watch the rest tonight. For what I saw, I noticed the same thing I noticed in the Obama/McCain debate–Biden was all about who is to blame for whatever situation was being talked about at the time, and Palin was more about what to do to fix it. I really don’t care who messed up the economy. (Although, some serious looking into should be done in the direction of Barney Frank, et al, who continually squashed requests from the Republicans for more regulation of the home loan market, and who basically forced lenders to make loans to low-income people who couldn’t afford them. I’m just saying…) What I really want to know is, what are you, Mr. Candidate, going to do to fix it. And this bailout/rescue is NOT the answer. Just look at the stock market reaction to it.
One thing I will say in Biden’s defense: I thought it was interesting the number of times the camera cut to show the back of Biden’s head and his poorly-placed hair plugs. Not exactly what I expected from the drive-bys…

You guys actually think she kicked Biden’s butt? Did you see the deabte at all? This woman is like a female Bush! She can’t form a sentence, has hardly any articulation and vocabulary skills, can’t string a sentence together to save her life and when she realizes she found a word that makes her sound like she has some vocabulary she uses it over and over again! In addition to that “also” and “ya know” and “dog-gone-it” are her favorite words I guess! She admiited she is a Washington outsider and has no idea “how you guys do things.” Wtf? Seriously. I know she lives in Alaska and if from Idaho , but….Jesus..does she live in a cave? She is a politician..a GOVERNOR for Christ’s sake! And she thinks she is an “outsider” and not part of the “permanent political establishment” (as she said in a rally once) How can you be a friggin’ United States governor and think you are a Wash outsider and not part of the U.S politicial establishment? Honey, you ARE the politicial establishment! You are POLITICIAN!!! The word is in your career title!!! That would be like a moritician saying, “I am not part of the mortuary establishment, I am funeral outsider” or an electrician saying, “I am not part of the electricial technican establishment, I am an electrical outsider.” I don’t even know where to begin with how ridiculous that sounds! That is one of the MANY reasons Biden kicked her ass! That is one of the continuation of many reasons Palin is constantly getting her ass kicked verbally and is a friggin; joke and laughing stock of the GOP right now! That is why McCain can’t stand her anymore, and never could and why he regrets ever even considering the Whaco From Wasillo for his VP and why Republicans are so downcasted, she has dragged the ticket to a new level of low! Before that , McCain had a chance! Then he recruited her, she was loved and adored and popular and in the limelight for a few weeks…then it turned out …that OH HEY OMG, she is a humam being and a typical politician and a liar, backstabber, cheater, hypocrite, vindictive, bullyish, incestuous (yes she is, people who know her well now that about her), lacks in conscience and abused her power as Governor to get people fired!!! DO I need to go on? You can’t dig up ONE bad things about Barack Obama!!! He admitted to all the bad shit he has done…he hid nothing and lied about nothing. He admitted that he used to use drugs, that he was friends with so called terroist supporters, belonged to an anti-white church…and ya know what? NO ONE CARES!!! And I think people would like Palin better if she was honest about things and stopped trying to be so “gee , golly, shucks’ meat and potatos, ya betcha, all the time and just act like a normal person That what people like about Obama, he is a normaly, every day guy you could sit down and have beer with! Could you do that with Palin in spite of how she paints herself? No I don’t think so…especially considering what she tabs on the GOP Visa!! What she spent on clothes could feed a small African nation…God I can’t stand her!!!!!!
