One Thing I Know in Pirate Speak

If you would prefer to read “One Thing I Know” in pirate speak, just go to the Pirate Speak text translator and type in http://onethingiknow.net.  You will see my entire blog translated for you in the language of pirates.

Here is an example of the last paragraph from James Joyce’s short story “The Dead” found in the post as an example.

0r as a sea dog says ‘t:

If ye would prefer t’ read “One Thin’ I Know” in gentleman o’ fortune speak, jus’ go t’ th’ Sea dog Speak text translator an’ type in http://onethingiknow.net. Ye will be seein’ me entire blog translated fer ye in th’ language o’ gentleman o’ fortunes.

Here be an example o’ th’ last paragraph from James Joyce’s short story “Th’ Dead” found in th’ post as an example.

A wee light taps upon th’ pane made th’ lad’s turn t’ th’ window. ‘t had begun t’ snow again. He watched sleepily th’ flakes, sil’er an’ dark, fallin’ obliquely against th’ lamplight. Th’ time had come fer th’ lad’s t’ set ou’ on his journey westward. Aye, th’ newspapers be right: snow be general all o’er Ireland. ‘t be fallin’ on ever’ part o’ th’ dark central plain, on th’ treeless hills, fallin’ softly upon th’ Bog o’ Allen an’, farther westward, softly fallin’ into th’ dark mutinous Shannon waves. ‘t be fallin’, too, upon ever’ part o’ th’ lonely churchyard on th’ hill ‘ere Michael Furey lay buried. ‘t lay thickly drifted on th’ crooked crosses an’ headstones, on th’ spears o’ th’ wee gate, on th’ barren thorns. His soul swooned slowly as he heard th’ snow fallin’ faintly through th’ universe an’ faintly fallin’, like th’ descent o’ the’r last end, upon all th’ livin’ an’ th’ dead.
