If I had to do it all over again, I would have made taking the cat to college as a precondition for both cat ownership and college. Our 15 year old cat was always my youngest daughter’s cat (she is now 26). When she visits from Boston, she pretends her old devotion. But she just got a new kitten, when we have offered Fibi to her repeatedly.
