Yesterday, while attending AMC Movie Theater’s Annual Best Picture Marathon, I used Jott. One of the things that Jott can do is to take your short phone calls, transcribe them, and then post them to your blog. I don’t know if the connection was bad, I was talking too fast, or if there was just too much background noise, but Jott did not function as I had hoped it would. When I got home, there were spelling errors and words left out. This wouldn’t be too bad, but one of my readers left the following note in my notepad:
Keira Knightly she "needs some"? What?! Are you really a pastor?
This note was in reference to my Moviepalooza post I made after I had watched "Atonement," starring Kiera Knightly. What I had actually said was, "Keira Knightly needs some intervention." I went on to add that she was the most anorexic person I had seen in some time.
My reply to the notepad poster was as follows:
Unfortunately "Jott," the blogging tool I used today, did not do a very good job of transcribing the posts I made via my cell phone. I have since updated all of the Jott entries to make them closer to what I actually said.
Let me add here, in the interest of fairness, that while editing the posts for mistakes, I also added to them in some places and actually changed some of what I said. But for this one reader let me say, "Yes, I am a pastor . . . and my words in the post were incompletely transcribed."
