Imported from old host:

Lee Brown, C.M.P.

Great story, good insights — except for the “putdown” regarding time spent on sermon prep. Maybe if we all came somewhere near that much time spent with God and in sermon prep and practice, our churches would grow also. I mean, isn’t that one of our primary duties — to preach God’s Word. We need to give more of the visitation, admin duties and “work of the ministry” to the deacons and others…at least that is what I thought I read in the scriptures.

Well, first off, I stopped reading Greg a long time ago. he types out of both sides of his keyboard. Although, I don't think he was supporting Osteen as much as criticizing those who call themselves the church but are really just less successful Osteens.

And you really need do no more than point out that Lakewood isn't really a church.

And, of course, Osteen isn't really a pastor. Some of us are Pastors even though we don't have the papers to prove it, and some of us are not Pastors even though we lead the most successful "church" in America.
