barren
my heart a desert

a wilderness filled with wild beasts
fear
sorrow
anger
doubt
where is the God of my salvation
Deus absconditus.
I seek but do not find
I am in Sheol
but You are not there
forsaken
I cry out for your presence
but hear only the echoes of my
anguish in reply
I need your love
I need your Spirit
else I am lost
Find me
O hidden God
look for me
seek me out
and bring me home
bring me your peace
pursue me with your
mercy and grace

life or death keep us apart
