This has nothing to do with homosexuality (except for item two), but has to do with coming out of the closet theologically speaking (except for items 3 and 4). No one tagged me, but I have read it on several blogs (Kyle, Rob, Ben, and Kim) and decided to do it myself.
- I confess that when it comes to theology, I would much rather read Henri Nouwen or Robert Farrar Capon than any real systematic theologian.
- I confess that I have no idea whether or not homosexuals should be ordained. If not, however, then the ordinations of all divorced and/or remarried ministers should be rescinded, mine included.
- Like Kyle, I confess that I once died my hair orange (although unlike Kyle, my dye job was a mistake, which I will not repeat).
- I confess that when I was a teen my greatest desire was to work and live on a Kibbutz in Israel.
- I confess that my greatest desire now is to work and live in a monastery (anyone know of any good protestant monasteries I could join?).
- I confess that my favorite gospel is John (I have been heavily influenced by the work of William Countryman in this regard), but favorite book of the Bible is Hosea.
- Having grown up in a pre-tribulation rapture church, I confess that I now find the whole “Left Behind” mentality heretical.
- I confess that it is my belief that any Christian may preside over the Lord’s table and (this will make Kyle throw up a little) say the “magic words” of the Institution. I also believe that any Christian has the right and ability to baptize others.
- I confess that, in my opinion, the Church, as we know it in all its hierarchical, denominational and institutional forms, is doomed.
- I confess that even though I am a United Methodist my own theology of baptism is more Anabaptist than sacramental. But just in case there are any UMC pastors, DS’s or Bishops out there that read this, let me add that I practice and encourage infant baptism in my congregations.

Haha, actually, it’s undrstandable to me to have a low theology of priesthood (or, apparently, a non-existent one) and a high theology of the Eucharist. You probably don’t have to guess what I’d be more concerned with. :0)
Re: 10, have you seen John Colwell’s Promise & Presence? It might screw around with you.
Re: 2, there is indeed a challenging connection there that needs to be dealt with, especially in evangelical churches.
