This sermon from three years ago uses the same quote from Erma Bombeck as this sermon, but the rest of the message is substantially different, especially the beginning which deals with Jesus staying behind in Jerusalem at the temple.

I very much enjoyed this sermon. Good way of looking at the new year. Thanks for posting it. Oh, and your mom must have known my grandmother…she was always threatening somebody with that next week thing. She also used the “I brought you into this world and I can take you out again!” to her kids.
